 Vacancy Community Radio Youghal is seeking to employ a Community Liaison Officer. This is a full time position 39 hours per week and will commence in early October  2017. Duties and Responsibilities will include Recruitment , Training and induction of radio volunteers and  Supporting  radio volunteers and staff in making programmes and outside broadcasts. New Snooker Documentary on Youghal’s association with Munster Championships in Killarney

 A documentary on the connection between Youghal and the Snooker Championships in Killarney is now available to view online.  Youghal CYMS have had teams involved at the Munster Snooker Championships for 30 years now.  The new feature-film documenting the story is 50 mins approx. and has been uploaded to You Tube via the Youghal Online channel. It was put together by Mick Hussey and Chris Cooney. The first official screening took place

CRY104FM turns 38 this week!

The 4th July is Independence Day in the USA….and it’s also Community Radio Youghal’s birthday.  The station first went on air back in the summer of 1979 as a pirate station. Among the founding members were Noel Cronin, Barty Murphy, Conor O’Reilly and Tony Hannon. The Third annual CRAOL NCR Day

Friday 23rd June is CRAOL National Community Radio Day.  This is the third year of the nationwide initiative. Community Radio Youghal, along with up to 40 other established and developing community radio stations across the country, will mark the day with the help of its staff, volunteers, friends and followers.  This year, CRY104fm will be doing an OB on the main street in Youghal, featuring local guests, giveaways and more!

Tail The Whale 5km Fun Run a Huge Success

Community Radio Youghal hosted its first -ever road race last weekend and it has been hailed as a huge success. Almost 80 runners took the start line in Youghal on Saturday evening, for the inaugural running of the Tale the Whale 5km Fun Run. The event was organised by CRY in association with the Moby Dick Festival. All proceeds were in aid of CRY104fm. Conor Tierney of East Cork AC won the race.

Two Pobalscoil na Tríonoide students to star in a new radio drama on CRY104fm

The Tell Tale Tweet is a new radio drama which airs on CRY104fm on Wednesday the 29th of March at 7.30pm.  This Topical drama looks at the dangers of social media and the sometimes tragic consequences of online Bullying.  Written By Niecy O Keeffe, and starring Aobh Lynch and Aoife Coleman as teenagers Sinead and Fiona, it tells of two young girls who get caught up in a social media

CRY104fm Cheltenham Night Raises €2160 for Two Local Organisations

The CRY104fm Cheltenham 2017 Preview Night has been hailed a massive success, after it was revealed this week that the event raised a total of €2160. Enable Ireland (Cork Branch) and Community Radio Youghal were the beneficiaries of the night.  Organisers wish to thank you for your continued support.  The event took place at the Walter Raleigh Hotel in Youghal on Friday the 10th March.
