Ironman Parking and Shuttle Bus Services for Athletes and Visitors

Introduction

There will be a shuttle bus service running on Saturday and Sunday at IRONMAN Ireland, Cork 2019. Below you will find a quick description of each service. 

Saturday Service

Parking: Youghal Rugby Club, Frogmore, Parkmountain, Youghal, Co. Cork, Ireland

Parking Cost: €5 per car.

Spaces: There will be 1000 spaces

Hours Of Operation: Car Park 8am – 7:30pm, The Shuttle Bus will run from 9am – 7pm. It will depart the rugby club every 15 minutes. 

Route: The shuttle bus will operate on a circular route stopping at the Lighthouse, then the transition area before returning to the rugby club. 

Cost: Free 

Please note: Well behaved dogs are accepted on the buses. Bikes are not permitted on the buses. 

Sunday Service

ATHLETES ONLY – Wristbands will be checked

Parking: Ballyvergan, Youghal, Co. Cork, Ireland

Parking Cost: Free for athletes.

Spaces: There will be 1000 spaces

Hours Of Operation: 4:30am – 5:30am 

Cost: Free 

Once parked it is a short 10 minute walk down to the swim start and transition area, there will be no shuttle busses from this car park.  

Please note: No cars will be accepted into the car park after 5:30am.

Spectators

Parking: Youghal Rugby Club, Frogmore, Parkmountain, Youghal, Co. Cork, Ireland

Spaces: There will be 1000 spaces

Hours Of Operation: Car Park 4:00am – 1:30am

There are 3 bus routes on Sunday from the Rugby Club car park operating at different times: 

Route 1

Time: 5am – 7am

Route: Rugby Club Car Park to Cox’s Field Cross Roads

This will take you to within 400m of the transition area.

Route 2

Time: 7am – 5pm

Route: Rugby Club Car Park to Lower Cork Hill 

This will take you to the top end of Youghal Town. 

Route 3

Time: 5pm – 1am

Route: The shuttle bus will operate on a circular route stopping at the Lighthouse and the transition area before returning to the rugby club.
