N25 Diversion Between Castlemartyr and Killeagh The N.25 between Castlemartyr and Killeagh is severely flooded and it is anticipated that the road will not be open to traffic until tomorrow at the earliest. The following traffic plan has been agreed between Cork County Council and An Garda Siochana and will come into effect at 7.30pm this evening:

East bound traffic travelling from Cork – this traffic will be diverted right in Castlemartyr village onto the R632 as far as Ladysbridge. Diverted traffic will then turn left in Ladysbridge onto the R633 Ballymacoda/Youghal road and will rejoin the N.25 on the outskirts of Youghal. Diversion signs will be in place.

West Bound traffic from Waterford/Youghal – this traffic will be diverted left on the N.25 between Killeagh and Castlemartyr onto the L7849 which will be a one way system heading west. Traffic will follow the diversion signs and continue into Castlemartyr village where they will rejoin the N.25.

Delays are expected on each route and we are appealing to the public to slow down and drive carefully while this diversion is in place.

All other alternative routes are not passable at present due to the severe flooding in the area. We are appealing to motorists to obey the directional signs and where possible to avoid using the N.25.
