The programme hears about the “Smuggler’s Nest” in Rush, County Dublin and why the people of Rush were particularly favourable towards smugglers, as well as the story of one of the residents who escaped hanging four times. It discusses why women have been written out of fishing history and report from the National Maritime Institute conference, held in co-operation with UCD, about the Irish Sea.
