Mayor of Cork County Indpendent Cllr Mary Linehan Foley, has announced funding for projects in East Cork.

Youghal:

Upper Cork Hill, Widen existing footpath in order to improve accessibility € 22,500

Moll Goggins Corner, Youghal Repairs to the pedestrian footpath on R634 € 15,000

 

Ballycotton:
L-3679-0 Cliff Road, resurfacing of the shared surface road, provision of road markings and bicycle stands € 110,000

 

Midleton Area:

Dwyers Road and Riverside Way, Midleton Widening and surfacing of the existing public right of way etc. € 450,000
Kennel Road, Knockgriffen, Midleton Widen existing very narrow footpath € 24,750
Elsinore to Elm Grove, Midleton, Reconstruction and widening of footpath linking the main residential area to Educate Together National School € 12,000

Main Street Midleton adjacent to the junction of Connolly Street Raised controlled pedestrian Crossing (zebra) € 25,000

Broomfield Village Spine Road, Provision of 4 raised uncontrolled pedestrian crossings, 2 controlled raised pedestrian crossings, and 2 ramps to replace existing deficient ramps; associated road resurfacing and relining. € 270,000

Roche’s Point, Midleton, Remedial work (shotcrete and anchors) to repair and stabilise failing roadside retaining wall with private dwellings below. € 40,000

Whiterock, Midleton Gabion wall to support and stabilise road embankment € 40,000
