Cork County Council COVID 19 Support

In response to Covid-19, almost all of our communities have developed voluntary local response groups to help those locally who are self-isolating, cocooning or vulnerable.

Cork County Council is helping to make that effort even more effective with the set up of a dedicated Community Support Response Forum linking a whole range of organisations including An Garda Síochána, the HSE, Alone, the Age Friendly Alliance, Rural Link and many, many more. A fleet of 185 Council vehicles have been made available to work side by side with statutory agencies responding to the needs of the most vulnerable.

The network of statutory and voluntary community support will work best when it is linked. If you are part of a local voluntary support group, please link with the County Council Community Response Forum by emailing covidsupport@corkcoco.ie and giving them your group’s contact details. That way you can benefit from their resources and they can benefit from your local knowledge in the community. .

And please, if you need to stay at home, don’t hesitate to ask for help with any of the daily necessities.

The Council’s Community Response Forum contact details are as follows:
