Update from Cork County Council regarding public offices and services

UPDATE FROM CORK CO CO update regarding public offices and services:

LIBRARIES:

All Council libraries, including our Library Headquarters will close at 6pm this evening to the general public for the period to March 29th.

We will be making specific arrangements to advertise the range of library services that can be accessed online.

SWIMMING POOLS:

Council owned and operated swimming pools at Dunmanway, Mallow and Fermoy will close at 6pm to the general public for the period to 29th March.

The Council is advising the Companies which have responsibility for non council operated swimming pools at Cobh and Youghal of this decision, and would expect that a similar decision will be taken in respect of those.

We will be making specific arrangements to advertise same.

TOURISM AND CULTURAL FACILITIES:

All Council owned and operated tourism and cultural facilities will close with immediate effect.

MOTOR TAX OFFICE:

Business will continue to be conducted through postal applications and online, however the office will be closed to public access.

PUBLIC ACCESS TO COUNCIL OFFICES:

Access to all of our offices by the general public for all aspects of our business is being restricted to an appointment only basis. This will take full effect from Monday 16th March.

We will be making specific arrangements to advertise same and will be strongly encouraging the use of online services and telephone contact for business purposes.

Appointments requested will be facilitated within our capacity to do so, and all attending on an appointment basis will be required to sign in on arrival and present follow up contact details in the event of they being necessary for contact tracing thereafter.
