Youghal woman jumps from 13,000ft for charity

From EchoLive.

Youghal woman Tara Murphy has participated in an epic skydive challenge to raise funds for Mary’s Meals, a charity which provides a daily meal to school children in need.

Tara was inspired to undertake the jump after watching two films about Mary’s Meals:

“I first heard about Mary’s Meals when I saw their two films: Child 31 and Generation Hope, which show how a simple meal in school transforms lives.

“I was amazed at the work they do and immediately wanted to get involved”, she said.

Mary’s Meals provides life-changing meals to impoverished children in some of the poorest communities in the world.

It is now feeding an amazing 1,504,471 children every day in 18 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Tara’s fundraising has managed to raise enough money to feed more than 38 children every school day for the next year.

Mary’s Meals she says, “Is a great example of how we can all make an impact in the world we live in today and how we can work together to achieve a common goal!”
