On Wednesday 6th June, Fiona Moriarty, Cork ARC’s Breast Cancer Nurse Counsellor will be available in Cork ARC Cancer Support House in Youghal for one to one sessions with men and women affected by breast cancer.
Through offering the people of East Cork and West Waterford the opportunity to meet Cork ARC’s Breast Cancer Nurse Counsellor on a one to one basis, Cork ARC is further extending their services outward into the community, and adding a much needed service to their centre in Youghal. Furthermore, this service is offered in confidence, and without charge, as are all of Cork ARC’s cancer support services.
Colette Cahill, Community Cancer Support Co-ordinator for Cork ARC in Youghal says, “We are delighted to offer dedicated breast cancer support for the people of East Cork and West Waterford at Cork ARC in Youghal, offering both men and women affected by breast cancer the opportunity to meet in confidence with our specialist Breast Cancer Nurse Counsellor, Fiona Moriarty.”

Open every Wednesday from 10.00 am – 4.00 pm, Cork ARC Cancer Support House welcome all those affected by cancer in the community to simply drop in to their centre at 29 Friar Street in Youghal or telephone 024 91654 for support and information. The service is nurse led, supported by a team of volunteer listeners, therapists and counsellors, and is discreet, professional and confidential. As well as the drop in and telephone support services available, Cork ARC in Youghal also offer counselling, therapeutic massage and reflexology on a one to one basis.
