Red Cross Carer of the Year Award

The Irish Red Cross is currently seeking nominations for the Irish Red Cross Carer of the Year Award.  The aim of this award is to recognise those members of communities across the country who tirelessly give, help and care for those most vulnerable people in society.  People who take on the role of carer, often without any formal training and who often feel overwhelmed and vulnerable themselves.  It is our aim to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our informal carers at home and in the community.

If you know of anybody who deserves recognition for their role as a carer then please fill out a nomination form and return to 16 Merrion Square, Dublin 2.  The nomination form can be downloaded from the Irish Red Cross Website at www.redcross.ie/carer2014 or you can pick up a form by calling in to the CRY104 fm offices at Nagle House in Youghal.

The winner of the 2014 Irish Red Cross Carer of the Year will receive a relaxing break away as well as a cash prize of €1500.  The closing date for nominations is 5th September 2014.

PLEASE NOTE that you DO NOT have to be a Red Cross Member to nominate someone or to be nominated.
