E-Learning at the Library Project

CETB in partnership with the Cork Library Service are delighted to announce the ‘ E-Learning at the Library Project’ is scheduled to commence in a number of locations throughout Cork city and county including Youghal, Midelton, Carrrigaline and Cobh.  This learning programme has been developed for people with little or no IT skills as well as those with a higher skill level and will be delivered FREE OF CHARGE by trained facilitators.

E-Learning at the library is a wonderful opportunity for people to develop and improve their IT skills at a pace that suits them best.  Each learner will be assigned an IT facilitator/trainer who will help them to get to grips with computer and Internet basics.

The course facilitator will help each learner to become familiar with computers, send and receive emails, access information on the internet and develop word-processing skills. The practical workshops will be delivered in your local library over  a 16 week period for  2 hours each week and are aimed at those with very little or no IT skills.

Attendees do not require a computer as we use library facilities.  Outside of class time, if students wish to practice, they can avail of these facilities again, provided they are members of the Library.  For more information call Edel on 087 3940145 and she can answer any question you may have.  Students who complete simple assignments successfully will receive a FETAC Minor Award Level 3 Certificate in Information Technology.
