CRY 104FM show The Global Hub explores Gender Equality

Community Radio Youghal presents a special edition of The Global Hub on Tuesday April 12th at 7pm. The first programme in a series of three explores Gender Equality. Violence against Women; The Role of the Church; Gender Conditioning; and International Agreements to Protect Women are amongst the topics discussed.

The show is the first in a series of three that examines the critical issues of our times. It explores the personal experiences and reflections of a group of people who have undertaken a course at CRY104FM in recent weeks. The course, sponsored by Trócaire, explored Development Studies and Radio Skills. Various Human Rights and Global Justice issues were covered by the participants under the direction of Gertrude Cotter.

Gertrude Cotter has been broadcasting The Global Hub on CRY104FM for some time now. The Global Hub explores social justice issues both at a local and international level. In recent times, the show has taken a special interest in the ongoing Refugee Crisis amongst other issues.
